PRIDE IN PROFESSION

Writer: Jill YorkJill York

Today is our day to shine and share the value of our profession!

Relax and enjoy your day at the Capitol. Think of yourself as an "APRN Ambassador" -- visiting, building relationships and offering your expertise as a resource to legislators who may not be well versed in health care policy.

Every meeting or encounter with an official is an opportunity for you...

1) To be a energetic and knowledgable advocate for your patients

2) To be a energetic and knowledgable advocate for HB 286

3) To share your own story and experiences about how expanding access to care and the end of CAPA-CS will positively impact the people of your region.

If you encounter a question about HB 286 that isn't covered by our talking points, then assure the legislator you will get them an answer and relay the question to our advocacy team.
