Thank you to all the amazing members and regions who donated items for the largest, widest and most interesting selection of Silent Auction items the event has ever seen.
The items on hand, lining both sides of the auction table, ranged from spa baskets set to pamper you to collectible bourbons, to great gifts for your favorite dog or a getaway stay in New Orleans. The creativity and generosity of the donors for the event cannot be overstated.

Back the PAC
As you know, the PAC Party is the primary fundraiser for KAP-PAC, Kentucky Advanced Practice Political Action Committee. The funds raised for the PAC are used to fuel the Association's advocacy efforts and support the legislative candidates who have been supportive and helpful to advancing pro-patient and pro-APRN legislation. If you missed the party, don't despair! You can still add your support to breaking down barriers that impede access to care by visiting KAP-PAC here and contributing.
A party with a purpose
In year's past, the "party with a purpose" was held in a hotel suite -- but this year, COVID protocols and sheer volume of attendees moved the event to a ballroom. That let guests

spread out and enjoy music, food and even a turn or two around the dance floor.
If you have ever wondered if the already multi-talented and brilliant members of the Association can dance -- wonder no longer! They can!
Over 75 tickets were sold for the event which followed the "Champions Reception" on Wednesday evening at Coalition Conference in Louisville, Kentucky.
The generous bids and participation of those in the race to "win" the coveted items made the night entertaining and exciting. More than one of the gift baskets had multiple sheets full of bids as the top amount kept changing and rising.
The PAC party committee especially appreciates the help and support of two wonderful gentlemen whose assistance makes the event fun and memorable. Howard Abraham as volunteer auctioneer keeps the crowd engaged and keeps the bids escalating as photographer Fred Waits graciously captures the scene and somehow makes everyone look good. Thank you to Howard and Fred for lending your time and talents to the APRN cause!
A big win for PAC finances
The great news is the PAC party 2021 set new goals and blazed a bright trail toward the PAC budget needed to elevate our issues and amplify our collective voice to lawmakers.
The grand evening raised $10,529 dollars due to APRNs willingness to invest in protecting their profession and in relentless advocacy for their patients.
There will be more PAC related events over the course of the summer and fall and the PAC Board invites any KANPNM member who would like to work on, host or promote the next PAC event to contact them or Cathy Waits to be part of this important piece of the advocacy puzzle.
