In-person 2021 Conference boosts morale as it engages and educates attendees

Masks, extra space and sanitation measures enable CC33 to welcome KANPNM members and guests back to in-person events

The most often heard refrains at CC33, the thirty-third annual Coalition Conference that took place April 20-23, 2021 at the Galt House Hotel in Louisville, Ky., were all about reconnection and recognition.

"Oh, I am so glad to see you!"

For many of the 500 attendees at the four-day conference, it was the first foray back into the world of in-person events.

Of course, this conference was still a little different to the large scale gatherings of the past education event. Planners had built in extra space within the session rooms, masks were required and conference itself had a maximum attendance number of attendees.

Limiting the attendance was an unfortunate but necessary precaution that allowed for seats to be spread out to accommodate distancing within the session rooms.

While the overall size of the event may have been smaller, the relevance and quality of the presentations and speakers was at the same level of excellence and expertise that attendees have come to expect of the Association.

For the first time, the Association captured the content of many of the presentations with video so that they might be added to the online and on-demand learning platform later in the summer.
