One of the defining characteristics of APRNs is their compassion for patients and the whole of the communities they serve.
The flooding events following the ice storms have decimated many communities throughout Eastern Kentucky. Unprecedented water damages to homes, road and bridge damages and utility interruptions have fallen on families adding to the hardships already in place from pandemic impacts on jobs and accessibility to care and assistance.
Our APRN members in communities reeling from flood damage have let us know the materials that will assist their locals with clean-up and getting homes and businesses put back together.
If we all help a little -- it can go a long way toward making sure that people have the materials they need as they set about the hard work of cleaning and reclaiming their homes.
Many needed items that would normally be nearby are sold out. Things like :
Buckets Bleach Mops
Brooms Paper Towels Bottled Water
Rubber boots Cleansers Contractor size garbage bags
First Aid supplies Bottled Water Paper towels
Please take this opportunity to aid clean up efforts by contributing to KANPNM so the Association can purchase needed clean-up items and get them delivered to the people who can use them.
