Ellen Bailey "Share the Light Award" aids Bowling Green organization that helps the homeless
The Ellen Bailey "Share the Light" award is given in honor of a founding member of the Coalition whose quiet, unwavering leadership was centered on clinical excellence, service to the profession and dedication to quality patient care.
Today, our organization is pleased to keep "sharing the light" by pairing the honor of the award with a $500 gift to be given to the charity of the honoree's choice.
The KANPNM 2022 Ellen Bailey recipient Maire Blankenship has directed the philanthropic award to be shared with HOTEL INC, a nonprofit that focuses on providing services for the homeless in Bowling Green which includes street medicine services, food and opportunities for safe affordable lodging.
HOTEL INC is a based community engagement and development organization whose vision is "...to create a community where each person is valued and has an equal opportunity to thrive." The organization's aims are to advocate, educate, empower and share in the work of their community to ensure all people have security through safe, affordable housing, health care and nutritious food.
Rhondell Miller, Executive Director of HOTEL INC. expressed gratitude to Blankenship and the Association support to the organization, saying ""Your donation allows us to continue our existing services and to plant deeper roots and build a stronger foundation for the future."
"New construction will give us space to engage the community and help them meet their needs. Plans include flexible space for education and community gathering, a computer lab, a public library satellite location, and the Delafield Co-Op Market," said Miller as she issued an invitation to Association members to get to know more about the good works of HOTEL INC.
"We are appreciative of your support and welcome you at any time to attend one of our 2022 quarterly Coffee and Conversations, to check out our web-site at www.hotelincbg.com or to follow us on Facebook or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org."
The Ellen Bailey "Share the Light" Award is traditionally presented at the KANPNM annual Coalition Conference. Nominees are sought each February for recognition in April.
